Security & Privacy

Encrypted upload, explicit authorization, server-side compression, and automatic expiration.

Local Estimate, Server Compression

The browser performs only a bounded estimate. Actual Keynote compression happens on ShrinkNote's server.

Encrypted Cloud Workflow

Decks upload over HTTPS to Cloudflare R2 before our server validates and compresses them.

You Authorize Processing

Upload alone does not start compression. Email authorizes a watermarked result; payment authorizes a clean result.

What Happens to Your Deck

1

Browser preflight estimates

The browser reads a bounded amount of ZIP metadata to validate the file shape and estimate likely savings. It does not compress or rewrite the deck.

2

The original uploads securely

After Cloudflare Turnstile verification, the full Keynote uploads over HTTPS to a job-scoped location in Cloudflare R2.

3

You choose whether processing begins

An email request authorizes a free watermarked result. Payment authorizes a clean result. An upload with neither remains unprocessed.

4

ShrinkNote's server compresses

Once authorized and fully uploaded, our server validates the Keynote, recompresses its media, and creates a separate result.

5

Access expires automatically

Default availability is 24 hours for unclaimed uploads, 48 hours for watermarked-email jobs, and seven days for paid jobs. Cleanup runs after expiration.
